2025年4月1日〜3日、アリーナ立川立飛にて全米最大級のチア&ダンスイベントJAMfest（ジャムフェス）が開催されました。
JAMfestはアメリカのフロリダ州オーランドで開催されるThe Summit Championship(CHEER)、The Dance Summit(DANCE)への出場権進呈対象大会です。日本で開催されるのは今大会が22回目。アメリカの本大会さながらの本格的な舞台、照明、音楽を楽しむことができる大会です！会場は数々の照明やミラーボールでキラキラしていました。
AWSMは前回の横浜大会より救護を担当しており、今大会が2回目の救護活動でした。競技の救護、会場救護など大会に関するすべての救護活動を担当させていただきました。
コンペティション部門とエキシビジョン部門があり、さらに年代や種目によってカテゴリーが分けられます。キラキラのメイクや衣装を身に纏って踊る選手たちの姿は本当に素敵でした！見ているコチラもワクワクしてしまう大会です。救護エリアが退場口付近にあったこともあり、演技を終えたあとのホッとした顔やとびきりの笑顔、悔しそうな顔など…選手たちのいろんな表情を近くで見ることができて、この大会に関われたことを嬉しく思いました。
この大会での演技は高所からのジャンプやアクロバティックな動作が多いため整形外科的な外傷はもちろん、緊張や疲労などから生じる内科的な症状に対する対応もありました。運営スタッフの皆さまや出場チーム関係者のご理解・ご協力もあり、円滑な救護体制を構築することができました。
また秋や春にも大会開催が決定しています。またJAMfestに関わるすべての皆さまの安全のお手伝いをするため、AWSM一同さらなる体制強化を目指していけたらと思います！

AWSM Provided Medical Support at JAMfest Japan 2025!
From April 1st to 3rd, 2025, one of the largest cheer and dance events in the U.S.—JAMfest—was held at Arena Tachikawa Tachihi in Tokyo, Japan.
JAMfest is a prestigious competition that offers qualifying spots for The Summit Championship (CHEER) and The Dance Summit (DANCE) held in Orlando, Florida. This year marked the 22nd time the event was hosted in Japan, delivering the same high-energy atmosphere as its American counterpart, complete with professional-grade staging, lighting, and music. The venue sparkled with dazzling lights and mirror balls, creating a magical setting for all participants.
AWSM was honored to be in charge of medical support for the second time, following our first involvement at the previous Yokohama event. We provided full-scale medical coverage throughout the competition—supporting both athletes during performances and attendees within the venue.
The competition included competitive and exhibition divisions, with categories based on age and discipline. The athletes, dressed in glittering costumes and makeup, gave vibrant performances that left the audience thrilled. With our medical station located near the exit, we had the chance to witness a wide range of emotions up close—from relieved expressions after a successful routine, to big smiles, and even moments of frustration. It was a privilege to be part of such a dynamic and emotional event.
Due to the nature of cheer and dance routines—featuring high jumps and acrobatic moves—there were cases of orthopedic injuries, along with internal symptoms caused by stress and fatigue. Thanks to the cooperation and understanding of the event organizers and team staff, we were able to maintain a smooth and efficient medical system throughout the event.
With more JAMfest events scheduled for both autumn and spring, AWSM looks forward to continuing to support the health and safety of everyone involved. We are committed to strengthening our medical support systems even further and are excited to be part of this amazing journey with the JAMfest family!
